Workshop 2 - Check!

Project X Workshop 2: Simply Hops Services

 

Our sessions within Workshop 2 covered all the ways Simply Hops serves our customers. This includes our products, brewing and technical advice services, our storage and delivery options alongside contract processes, our extensive proactive and reactive quality programs, and multiple marketing functions which serve our customers. Here is Tim Webb’s reflection on the second workshop:

"Workshop 2 involved meeting at Paddock Wood for a much more detailed workshop looking at Simply Hops, its role within and relationship with the BarthHaas Group, its place in the UK and international markets, some of its key people, its principles and much of the nitty-gritty of how it relates to its customers.

Possibly because this was the second workshop and the group was starting to know each other better, or maybe because many of the topics covered were highly practical, or even that the Simply Hops team were playing at home, the communication seemed more natural.  Less of the best behaviour and more attention to detail.  Chats about how to simplify the ordering process were dotted with comprehensive introductions to the range of hops, the relationships of stocks to price, and options for contracting. The conversations in the pub in the evening were more informed, informative, and relaxed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In retrospect Workshop 2 may well be remembered for heralding the arrival of a new sort of flu, not yet a pandemic, but bad enough to cancel the much anticipated trip to see the hop harvest in Australia and hit a few bars en route in Singapore.  Did we but know it, a whole new type of challenge was about to descend."
